Union Kids Cookies and Crafts

AFSCME locals 3800 and 2822 held the first annual Union Kids Cookies and Crafts on Saturday, December 8. Dozens of kids and their grown-ups spent the morning baking and decorating cookies and making crafts.

It can be hard for working families to find the time to just hang out and make stuff - not to mention having the money for ingredients and craft supplies. The Union Kids Cookies and Crafts event gave union parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles the chance to come together with their families and build community. Participants included members of AFSCME Locals 3800, 2822, and 34; UFCW, MAPE, MFT, and Bloomington Teachers.

Many cookies were baked and decorated; a lot of ornaments and collages were made; hot cocoa, popcorn and cookies were consumed; and a good time was had by all.
